Jerusalem and Bethlehem
I heard a lot of stories about how things would be when I was visiting Jerusalem. You know the ones I am talking, don’t you?
But hey, one of the most important cities in three religions has to be divinely protected, right? Well, from the looks of it, the locals didn’t really want to burden God with such trivial matters, maintaining security fit for a warzone.
Everything was an alien experience for us. Agents, who were taking us from Jerusalem to Bethlehem, were talking across a boundary wall. The landscape, and everything came with it, changed within 500 meters.
And then the driver started singing a Bollywood song from the 80s. And the world made sense again.
